Our engineers have at their disposal the latest technology allowing them to
take full advantage of the latest product development processes to reduce our
clients’ development time. Here are some of the processes we have
successfully used.
Parametric Solid Modeling: This is where it all starts. All
of our designs start out on and are developed with solid modeling using
Pro/Engineer or Solid/Works. Not only can our engineers quickly create a
design, once this product data has been created we use it to further reduce
development time.
Electronic Data Sharing and Management: Our data sharing
tools allows us to develop techniques to share data with other team members.
This way all parties can develop their part as close to simultaneously as
possible. This is a key process to master if one wants to engage in
concurrent engineering.
Data Site Protection: We will safeguard your proprietary
data through various security measures ensuring your design's protection.
Virtual Prototyping: The analysis and visualization tools
let us cut the number of hardware iterations that need to be produced. By
catching design changes in the virtual prototype we reduce hardware costs
(it’s always less expensive to make changes on paper than hardware) as
well as time since we are not waiting for parts to be made, and changed.
Rapid Prototyping: When the time is right and we build a
hardware prototype, our engineers are well acquainted with the many rapid
prototyping methods. Some of those methods we have used (or are familiar
with) are stereo lithography (SLA),
selective laser sintering (SLS), laminated object manufacturing (LOM),
silicon RTV casting (rapid soft tooling), and ACES injection molding
(Accurate Clear Epoxy rapid bridge tooling).
Paperless Manufacturing: Typically, fabrication drawings are
first created before any parts can be made and this slows us down in two
ways. First, it may take a significant amount of time to do the drawings and,
after prototype testing; we may make significant changes and need to start
the drawing from scratch. Not only do we lose time waiting for the drawings,
this may eventually become wasted time. We have successfully built sheetmetal, machined, molded and cast parts from NO
drawings. We can get your parts made from just the solid model data. If we
need a drawing it will be done concurrently with the parts build. This is a
huge time and money saver.
Remote Design Reviews: We have used the web to publish
designs and have team members in remote locations review designs.
